About Skill Locker

Tested, versioned skills that make Claude Code dramatically better at real work — not just coding.

What Skill Locker is

Skill Locker is a library of 296 skills for Claude Code, spread across 33 categories — writing, business, marketing, sales, operations, personal productivity, and more. A skill teaches Claude how to do a specific job properly: not a one-line prompt, but a structured set of instructions, checklists, and examples that Claude follows every time.

The point is to make Claude Code genuinely useful for the work most people actually do — the emails, the plans, the content, the decisions — rather than only for programming. Eight of them are free to try, no card required.

How the skills are built

Skills are written and refined by hand, carry a version number, and are updated over time. When a skill gets better, everyone who owns it gets the update — one purchase, free updates for as long as Skill Locker runs. This isn’t a dump of recycled prompts; each skill is maintained as the models and the tooling move on.

Who’s behind it

Skill Locker is built by James Cooper, an independent builder. The library is written and refined by hand rather than mass-generated — which is also why it’s honest about where it is: this is an early, independent project, and it’s growing deliberately.
