The Content Idea Machine
Twenty content ideas, specific enough to create today. Not 'write about productivity' — actual angles with hooks, format recommendations, and a reason each one has a shot at travelling.
What this skill does
The reason most content brainstorming produces 20 versions of the same idea: it's all one angle. Educational. Or all contrarian. Or all "behind-the-scenes" once the person discovered that BTS does well. The Content Idea Machine forces diversity by running every brainstorm across five content pillars — Educational, Contrarian, Behind-the-scenes, Social proof, and Provocative/personal — so the output covers the actual surface area of a niche instead of one corner of it.
The ideas are platform-correct from the start. LinkedIn ideas come with a hook line and a 1500-character structure suggestion; Instagram ideas specify Reel vs carousel vs single post with a format reason; X/Twitter ideas include thread vs single tweet calls and the kind of hook each rewards. You're not getting "post about X" — you're getting "Reel, 60 seconds, scripted, this exact hook."
Each idea also comes with a virality note: why this specific angle could travel. Sometimes it's a contrarian take that triggers replies. Sometimes it's a specific number in the hook. Sometimes it's an aesthetic that screenshots well. The skill tells you which lever each idea is pulling so you can pattern-match for future ideas of your own.
You get a 5-day content calendar at the end that sequences the ideas so the algorithm sees variety (and so you don't post three educational carousels in a row and tank your reach). For new accounts, the calendar is weighted toward Provocative/personal and Behind-the-scenes — the things that build a face. For established accounts, it leans into Educational and Social proof — the things that convert.
When this triggers
- ·You opened the content calendar and have nothing for the next two weeks
- ·You're stuck producing the same educational post in slightly different shapes
- ·You're starting a newsletter, podcast, or social channel from zero and need a runway
- ·You're switching platforms (LinkedIn → X, Instagram → TikTok) and need format-correct ideas
- ·Your niche feels 'tapped out' and you've forgotten there are five pillar types you haven't touched
Example
Trigger
User: 'I run a bakery in East London. Mostly Instagram. Audience is locals 25-45 who care about real bread, not Instagram bread. Need ideas.'
Output
20 ideas across 5 pillars: EDUCATIONAL (4) · Why supermarket sourdough isn't sourdough — Reel, 60sec, the science not the snark · Hands-on: testing if your bread is properly fermented (carousel, 5 slides) · ... CONTRARIAN (4) · "Hot honey on bread is a tourist trick" — Reel, scripted hot take, durable engagement · ... BEHIND-THE-SCENES (4) · 4am shaping, no edit, no music — Reel, raw · ... SOCIAL PROOF (4) · "The croissant that made a French customer cry" — single portrait, real quote in caption · ... PROVOCATIVE/PERSONAL (4) · Why I left a corporate kitchen job to bake at 3am — single post, longer caption, no hashtags · ... Plus: 5-day content calendar showing how to sequence the above so the algorithm sees variety.
