Most content advice tells you to "post about what you know." That produces scattered output — Monday is a productivity tip, Tuesday is an industry news repost, Friday is a personal story that doesn't connect to either. The audience watches for a few weeks, can't tell what you're about, and stops watching. Pillars solve this by creating three to five lanes that look varied but all reinforce the same underlying expertise.

The skill runs the PILLAR framework. First it isolates the hub — your core expertise in one phrase, which is not itself a pillar, just the centre of the wheel. Then it identifies angles outward from the hub using five archetypes (HOW, WHY, WHAT, WHO, META) and picks three to five that match your energy, your audience, and your commercial goals. Generic pillars like "leadership" or "growth" get rejected because anyone can post under them, which means nobody owns them. The output forces specificity — "the fractional CFO model" beats "finance."

Every pillar gets a job. One attracts new audience (shareable, accessible). One builds authority (your frameworks, deep expertise). One creates trust (stories, vulnerability). One converts (problems you solve, results you deliver). A content strategy that's all teaching has no commercial engine; a strategy that's all promotion bleeds the audience. The skill maps pillars to outcomes so the mix is intentional rather than accidental.

Each pillar comes with five to ten specific sub-topics — enough fuel for months of content — plus rules: tone, best format, length, frequency, and how the pillar reconnects to the hub. The weekly mix shows which pillars hit which days so you're never opening the composer with no idea what slot you're filling. A coherence test confirms that five random posts would give a new follower your positioning within minutes.

Pillars aren't permanent. The skill bakes in a 90-day review — drop the pillar that flopped, double down on the one that compounded. What it won't do: produce eight pillars, accept "marketing" as a pillar name, or build a strategy that ignores commercial intent.
