Coaching Package Designer
The gap between '£50/hour for coaching' and '£2,500 for a 12-week programme' isn't price — it's framing. Coaching Package Designer builds 2-3 tier offers with named transformations, deliverables, and pricing rationale that justifies premium fees. It packages coaching services. It does not make clinical or medical claims.
What this skill does
Scope first. This designs and prices a coaching offer. It produces package structure, deliverable lists, and sales copy in coaching language — habits, support, accountability, behaviour change. It does not make medical, clinical, or therapeutic claims, and it explicitly steers language away from "treat", "cure", "heal", "diagnose", or anything that crosses into a regulated profession's scope. If the coach is also a registered dietitian, clinician, or therapist, they can layer that into their own copy — the skill won't add it for them.
Inside that scope, the design runs through five steps. Transformation map — define the Before State (problem, what they've tried, how they feel), the After State (specific outcome, how their day looks different, what they can now do), and the Bridge (the coach's specific methodology that gets them across). This becomes the language of the offer — you're selling the transformation, not the sessions. Package structure — typically three tiers. Tier 1 is accessible and proves value. Tier 2 is the Signature — designed to be the obvious best buy. Tier 3 is premium with high-touch extras like priority messaging or in-person elements. The middle tier sells because of anchoring; it needs the top tier to look reasonable and the bottom tier to look light.
Pricing. Three inputs: the floor (target annual revenue divided by capacity), the ceiling (market rate in the niche), and the value of the outcome to the client. The skill flags geographic considerations — US package pricing doesn't translate one-to-one to UK or APAC, and serving international clients needs either PPP-adjusted tiers or a single global price positioned at the primary market. Payment plans increase conversion but reduce commitment, so the skill always adds a commitment agreement or deposit. Per-session pricing is never offered alongside packages because it undermines them.
Sales copy and retention. For each tier the skill writes a headline ("Go from [Before] to [After] in [timeframe]"), benefit-first deliverable descriptions (not "6 sessions" but "6 x 60-min sessions where we'll do [specific thing]"), This Is For You / Not For You qualifiers (the disqualifier list signals confidence), and a clear next step. Plus a post-programme retention layer — maintenance package, alumni community, ascension path, returning-client offer — because the most profitable client is the one who renews. The skill is opinionated: never compete on price, name the package something evocative ("The Foundation Reset" beats "Basic"), always include between-session support because that's where results come from, and not every coaching model needs packages — single-session intensives and pay-as-you-go suit some niches and the skill says so.
When this triggers
- ·You're charging hourly and want to move to packages but don't know how to structure the leap
- ·You can't explain what's actually in your offer in a way that justifies the price
- ·You want a Core / Signature / Premium tier structure with the middle tier set up to convert
- ·You're rewriting sales copy and need benefit-first deliverable descriptions, not feature lists
- ·You're a wellness coach launching internationally and pricing for one market while serving another
Example
Trigger
Coach: 'Nutrition coach, 5 years in, currently £80/hour. Want to build a 12-week metabolic reset programme for women 40+. What should I charge and what's in it?'
Output
This designs the coaching offer. It doesn't make clinical claims — language stays in coaching scope (habits, support, accountability) not medical scope (treatment, cure). TRANSFORMATION MAP Before: low energy, tried 4+ diets, frustrated, "nothing works". After: stable energy, eating without rules, clothes fit, trust in own body again. Bridge: structured habits + weekly accountability + your "no rules, just rhythm" methodology. TIER 1 — FOUNDATION RESET (8 weeks, £997) 8 x 45-min sessions, weekly check-ins, meal rhythm guide, private community. TIER 2 — THE FULL RESET (12 weeks, £2,250) ← target tier All of Foundation + 12 sessions, Voxer between-session access, monthly plan refresh, recipe library, halfway progress report. TIER 3 — VIP (16 weeks, £4,800) All of Full + weekly plan customisation, priority Voxer, one emergency session, alumni community lifetime. Pricing rationale: anchor at 1:1 hourly equivalent for Tier 1, Tier 2 at 60% per-session rate (rewards commitment), Tier 3 at 2.1x Tier 2. Pay-in-full discount 7%. No per-session option.
